He was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the first round, ninth overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft. In his rookie season, Drummond averaged 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.6 blocks in 20.7 minutes per game.
Drummond spent eight seasons with the Pistons before been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Brandon Knight, John Henson and a 2023 second-round draft pick on February 6, 2020.
