Many celebrities were the victims of death hoaxes in 2023, including Ozzy Osbourne, who recently addressed the bizarre rumors that claimed the Black Sabbath rockstar had passed away.
“I’m not dead!” Ozzy, 75, said during an episode of his family’s podcast The Osbournes. “I’m not going any-f---ing-where. And I’m gonna go up and do some more gigs before I’m finished anyway.”
The rocker went on to address how he first heard the speculation that he died, explaining, “The thing on YouTube, it’s got ‘Celebrities Who Have Died Today,’ and there’s a picture of me. And I go, ‘I’m not dead. I’m not really dead … Just a little flesh wound.'”

Ozzy's Death Rumors Started After He said He Didn't Have Long To Live
The rumors may have had something to do with Ozzy’s previous admission that he doesn’t believe he has long left to live – a decade at most, he estimates.
“I said to [wife] Sharon [Osbourne] that I’d smoked a joint recently and she said, ‘What are you doing that for! It’ll f---ing kill you!’ I said, ‘How long do you want me to f---ing live for?!’ he told Rolling Stone UK in an interview published in November.
"At best I’ve got 10 years left and when you’re older, time picks up speed,” Ozzy went on. "Me and Sharon had our 41st wedding anniversary recently, and that’s just unbelievable to me!”
During the same interview, Ozzy reflected on his friends who have passed away before him, admitting he’s surprised to have lasted so long given his lifestyle choices.
"Why am I the last man standing? I don’t understand any of it,” he shared. “Sometimes I look in the mirror and go, ‘Why the f--- did you make it?!’ I’m not boasting about any of it because I should have been dead a thousand times. I’ve had my stomach pumped God knows how many times.”

Nevertheless, Ozzy said he’s not afraid of dying – he’d rather do it sooner than later if it means enjoying life comfortably.
"But I don’t want to have a long, painful and miserable existence," the musician went on. "I like the idea that if you have a terminal illness, you can go to a place in Switzerland and get it done quickly. I saw my father die of cancer."
Sharon Osbourne Said She Lost Too Much Weight On Ozempic
Ozzy’s admission comes as his wife Sharon Osbourne revealed she’s also dealing with a health crisis after losing too much weight while on Ozempic, a medication that suppresses appetite and increases metabolism to lose weight.
“I lost 42 pounds now and it’s just enough,” she explained earlier this year, in a warning to other people. “It’s just time to stop. I didn’t actually want to go this thin, but it just happened. I’ll probably put it all on again soon; I’ve done it my whole life.”
