Experience

Faran Krentcil is the founder of Fashionista.com, and a fashion and style expert with 15 years of experience. She began her career at IMG Fashion interviewing models like Kate Moss and Tyra Banks before writing an online shopping column for New York Magazine. When Faran was 25, she created Fashionista.com and launched it to worldwide acclaim, including praise from Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, MTV, and CBS News. During her time at Fashionista, Faran joined Teen Vogue to report on teen style trends from Europe. From there, she was an editor at NYLON, ELLE, and Yahoo!, where she interviewed celebrities live on the red carpet for Oscar season. Faran has been cited as "best dressed" in WWD, Paper Magazine, Glamour, and Vogue Japan, and has published articles on fashion and personal style in over 10 countries. Faran was nominated for a Cable News Award for her fashion coverage of "Mad Men" in 2010 but lost to Conan O'Brien. She is totally fine with this.
