He wished he still had his long, white beard and silvery white locks from years past, but he was longing for them. He truly missed them. Even though he was only 29 years old and showing signs of aging around his temples, he was nonetheless cast to play the role. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church was a sacred place for Bud, and he faithfully served there in many capacities, including as acolyte director, chair of the property committee, and vestry member. He was also a worshipper at that place. In addition, he helped out with other Habitat for Humanity projects that received funding from the church. His involvement led to these efforts.
